For visitors to Khaiko, a visit and tour of the St Peter’s Cathedral is a must. Time permitting, attending the colorful Sunday service is highly recommended. The Lodge provides, on demand and at reasonable charges, boat rides round the island, to Chizumulu Island and neighbouring Mozambique only a short distance away. A walk or boat ride to the nearby rocky Mbuzi Point provides visitors with a rare opportunity to be at total peace with nature. Sheer tranquility, while watching Likoma’s famous brightly coloured mbuna and cichillids fish species. The unpolluted sandy beach accords visitors an excellent playground for beach games, e.g. beach football.
